2019-10-17efi_loader: enable CONFIG_CMD_NVEDIT_EFI on QEMUHeinrich Schuchardt
To reduce the default image size CONFIG_CMD_NVEDIT_EFI was disabled by default. Re-enable it on the QEMU platforms supporting the UEFI sub-system. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>
2019-08-02Convert CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT and CONFIG_PREBOOT to KconfigSimon Glass
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT CONFIG_PREBOOT Both are together in one commit, since otherwise the former causes kconfig to define the latter, which gives duplicate symbol errors. Includes a manual fixup for CONFIG_PREBOOT in ids8313_defconfig since the backslash lands in the wrong place. Similarly with socfpga_vining_fpga. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2018-12-12qemu-arm: Add persistent environment supportSumit Garg
Currently on qemu-arm platforms environment is kept in RAM. Instead use pflash device 1 to provide persistent environment support across device reset. Also (optionally) provide support for persistent environment across qemu machine OFF/ON using following instructions: - Create envstore.img using qemu-img: qemu-img create -f raw envstore.img 64M - Add a pflash drive parameter to the command line: -drive if=pflash,format=raw,index=1,file=envstore.img Signed-off-by: Sumit Garg <sumit.garg@linaro.org>
2018-11-14arm: qemu: Add a Kconfig in the board directoryBin Meng
This adds a Kconfig file in the board directory, so that some board-specific options can be specified there. Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2018-09-23efi_selftest: test qemu-arm(64)_defconfigHeinrich Schuchardt
We should run the EFI selftest on both a 32bit and a 64bit ARM platform on Travis to catch possible errors. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Alexander Graf <agraf@suse.de>
2018-08-16configs: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKSTom Rini
We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8. 2018-07-19ARM: qemu-arm: enable RTCHeinrich Schuchardt
QEMU provides an emulated ARM AMBA PrimeCell PL031 RTC. The patch sets the base address in the board include file according to the definition in hw/arm/virt.c of the QEMU source. It defines the Kconfig option for the existing driver, and enables the RTC driver in qemu_arm64_defconfig and qemu_arm_defconfig as well as the date command. We need an RTC to provide the GetTime() runtime service in the UEFI subsystem. 2018-02-11configs: Migrate CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASETom Rini
On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers. I did not attempt to add more default values in and for now will leave that to maintainers. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-01-19ARM: qemu-arm: Add support for AArch64Tuomas Tynkkynen
This adds support for '-machine virt' on AArch64. This is rather simple: we just add TARGET_QEMU_ARM_xxBIT to select a few different Kconfig symbols, provide the ARMv8 memory map from the board file and add a new defconfig based on the 32-bit defconfig. 2017-10-10cmd: Toggle the default value of CONFIG_CMD_IMLSTuomas Tynkkynen
Having this as a 'default y' is rather annoying because it doesn't actually compile unless other options are defined in the board header: ../cmd/bootm.c: In function 'do_imls_nor': ../cmd/bootm.c:330:7: error: 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_SECT'? i < CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS; ++i, ++info) { Make it 'default n' so people who develop new boards that start from a blank defconfig have one less compilation failure to debug. 2017-10-06ARM: Add a new arch + board for QEMU's 'virt' machineTuomas Tynkkynen
This board builds an U-Boot binary that is bootable with QEMU's 'virt' machine on ARM. The minimal QEMU command line is: qemu-system-arm -machine virt, highmem=off -bios u-boot.bin (Note that the 'highmem=off' parameter to the 'virt' machine is required for PCI to work in U-Boot.) This command line enables the following: - u-boot.bin loaded and executing in the emulated flash at address 0x0 - A generated device tree blob placed at the start of RAM - A freely configurable amount of RAM, described by the DTB - A PL011 serial port, discoverable via the DTB - An ARMv7 architected timer - PSCI for rebooting the system - A generic ECAM-based PCI host controller, discoverable via the DTB Additionally, QEMU allows plugging a bunch of useful peripherals to the PCI bus. The following ones are supported by both U-Boot and Linux: - To add a Serial ATA disk via an Intel ICH9 AHCI controller, pass e.g.: -drive if=none, file=disk.img,id=mydisk -device ich9-ahci,id=ahci -device ide-drive,drive=mydisk,bus=ahci.0 - To add an Intel E1000 network adapter, pass e.g.: -net nic,model=e1000 -net user - To add an EHCI-compliant USB host controller, pass e.g.: -device usb-ehci,id=ehci - To add a NVMe disk, pass e.g.: -drive if=none, file=disk.img,id=mydisk -device nvme, drive=mydisk, serial=foo Signed-off-by: Tuomas Tynkkynen <tuomas.tynkkynen@iki.fi>
