2014-10-23dm: gpio: sandbox: Drop request()/free() in the driverSimon Glass
Now that the uclass supports gpio_request/free() there is no need for the driver to implement it too. Drop this unnecessary code. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-23dm: gpio: sandbox: Implement the remove() methodSimon Glass
This method frees memory so we must make sure to implement it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-23dm: gpio: sandbox: Implement the get_function() methodSimon Glass
Implement this method so that the 'gpio' command can do its job correctly. For sandbox we only support input and output states for a gpio. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-23dm: Move the function for getting GPIO status into the uclassSimon Glass
This function can be more easily tested if it is in the uclass. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-23dm: gpio: Add gpio_get_function() and friendsSimon Glass
Add helpers to the uclass to allow finding out the pin function. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-23dm: gpio: Implement GPIO reservation in the uclassSimon Glass
We have several GPIO drivers now and all are doing similar things to record which GPIOs are reserved. Move this logic into the uclass to make the drivers similar. We retain the request()/free() methods since currently one driver does use these for setting up the pin. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-23dm: omap: gpio: Support driver modelSimon Glass
Add driver model support to this driver, while retaining support for the legacy system. Driver model GPIO support is enabled with CONFIG_DM_GPIO as usual. Since gpio_is_valid() no longer exists, we can use the -EINVAL error returned from gpio_request(). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2014-10-23dm: omap: gpio: Put _get_gpio_value() logic into its own functionSimon Glass
Add a separate internal helper function to get a GPIO value, so that we will be able to call it with the driver model version and avoid code duplication. Also move gpio_get_bank() and check_gpio() down below the helper functions as these won't be needed with driver model. 2014-10-23dm: gpio: Support numbered GPIOsSimon Glass
At present banks must be named and it is not possible to refer to GPIOs by number in driver model. Some boards use numbering - e.g. OMAP. It is fairly easy to support by detecting the absense of a bank name (which starts with a letter). Add support for numbered GPIOs in addition to the existing bank support. 2014-10-22dm: imx: gpio: Support driver model in MXC gpio driverSimon Glass
Add driver model support with this driver. In this case the platform data is in the driver. It would be better to put this into an SOC-specific file, but this is best attempted when more boards are moved over to use driver model. 2014-10-22dm: exynos: gpio: Convert to driver modelSimon Glass

2014-10-22dm: exynos: Tidy up GPIO definesSimon Glass

2014-10-22dm: exynos: Tidy up GPIO headersSimon Glass
The wrong header is being included, thus requiring the code to re-declare the generic GPIO interface in each GPIO header. Fix this. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2014-09-10tegra: Convert tegra GPIO driver to use driver modelSimon Glass
This is an implementation of GPIOs for Tegra that uses driver model. It has been tested on trimslice and also using the new iotrace feature. The implementation uses a top-level GPIO device (which has no actual GPIOS). Under this all the banks are created as separate GPIO devices. The GPIOs are named as per the Tegra datasheet/header files: A0..A7, B0..B7, ..., Z0..Z7, AA0..AA7, etc. Since driver model is not yet available before relocation, or in SPL, a special function is provided for seaboard's SPL code. 2014-07-04gpio: spear_gpio: Fix gpio_set_value() implementationAxel Lin
In current gpio_set_value() implementation, it always sets the gpio control bit no matter the value argument is 0 or 1. Thus the GPIOs never set to low. This patch fixes this bug. The address bus is used as a mask on read/write operations, so that independent software drivers can set their GPIO bits without affecting any other pins in a single write operation. Thus we don't need a read-modify-write to update the register. 2014-05-13ARM: tegra: add GPIO initialization table functionStephen Warren
The HW-defined procedure for booting Tegra requires that some pins be set up as GPIOs immediately at boot in order to avoid glitches on those pins, when the pinmux is programmed. Add a feature to the GPIO driver which executes a GPIO configuration table. Board files will use this to implement the correct HW initialization procedure. 2014-05-13S5P: Exynos: Add GPIO pin numbering and rename definitionsAkshay Saraswat
This patch includes following changes : * Adds gpio pin numbering support for EXYNOS SOCs. To have consistent 0..n-1 GPIO numbering the banks are divided into different parts where ever they have holes in them. * Rename GPIO definitions from GPIO_... to S5P_GPIO_... These changes were done to enable cmd_gpio for EXYNOS and cmd_gpio has GPIO_INPUT same as s5p_gpio driver and hence getting a error during compilation. * Adds support for name to gpio conversion in s5p_gpio to enable gpio command EXYNOS SoCs. Function has been added to asm/gpio.h to decode the input gpio name to gpio number. 2014-03-04dm: Add GPIO support and testsSimon Glass
Add driver model support for GPIOs. Since existing GPIO drivers do not use driver model, this feature must be enabled by CONFIG_DM_GPIO. After all GPO drivers are converted over we can perhaps remove this config. Tests are provided for the sandbox implementation, and are a sufficient sanity check for basic operation. The GPIO uclass understands the concept of named banks of GPIOs, with each GPIO device providing a single bank. Within each bank the GPIOs are numbered using an offset from 0 to n-1. For example a bank named 'b' with 20 offsets will provide GPIOs named b0 to b19. Anonymous GPIO banks are also supported, and are just numbered without any prefix. Each time a GPIO driver is added to the uclass, the GPIOs are renumbered accordinging, so there is always a global GPIO numbering order. Unlike the other patches in this series so far, this commit fixes a ambiguity in the license terms for some OMAP files: the code was originally derived from the Linux kernel sources, where it was clearly marked as GPL-2.0 (i. e. without the "or later" part), but the U-Boot version had a GPL-2.0+ file header added, apparently without permission / relicensing from the original authors of the code.
