2018-11-29dm: sandbox: i2c: Use new emulator parent uclassSimon Glass
Update the device tree, sandbox i2c driver and tests to use the new emulation parent to hold emulators. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-04-27Remove unnecessary instances of DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTRTom Rini
We have a large number of places where while we historically referenced gd in the code we no longer do, as well as cases where the code added that line "just in case" during development and never dropped it. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-06-01dm: sandbox: i2c: Drop fdtdec.h headerSimon Glass
This is not needed in this driver. Drop it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-07-27dm: Convert users from dm_scan_fdt_node() to dm_scan_fdt_dev()Simon Glass
This new function is more convenient for callers, and handles pre-relocation situations automatically. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-05-14sandbox: i2c: search child emul dev and check its uclass idPrzemyslaw Marczak
The function get_emul() in sandbox i2c bus driver, always returns first child as i2c emul device. This may only work for i2c devices with a single child, which is an only i2c emul device. In case when i2c device has more than one child (e.g. PMIC), and one is i2c emul, then the function should search it by check uclass id for each child. This patch add this change to the get_emul(). 2015-05-05dm: i2c: Add an explicit test mode to the sandbox I2C driverSimon Glass
At present this driver has a few test features. They are needed for running the driver model unit tests but are confusing and unnecessary if using sandbox at the command line. Add a flag to enable the test mode, and don't enable it by default. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-05-05dm: i2c: sandbox: Add debugging to the speed limitSimon Glass
Print a debug() message with the I2C speed is exceeded. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
2015-04-16dm: core: Add dev_get_uclass_priv() to access uclass private dataSimon Glass
Add a convenience function to access the private data that a uclass stores for each of its devices. Convert over most existing uses for consistency and to provide an example for others. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-01-29dm: i2c: Move slave details to child platdataSimon Glass
At present we go through various contortions to store the I2C's chip address in its private data. This only exists when the chip is active so must be set up when it is probed. Until the device is probed we don't actually record what address it will appear on. However, now that we can support per-child platform data, we can use that instead. This allows us to set up the address when the child is bound, and avoid the messy contortions. Unfortunately this is a fairly large change and it seems to be difficult to break it down further. 2015-01-29dm: i2c: Provide an offset length parameter where neededSimon Glass
Rather than assuming that the chip offset length is 1, allow it to be provided. This allows chips that don't use the default offset length to be used (at present they are only supported by the command line 'i2c' command which sets the offset length explicitly). 2014-12-11dm: i2c: Add a sandbox I2C driverSimon Glass
This driver includes some test features such as only supporting certain bus speeds. It passes its I2C traffic through to an emulator. Acked-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
