2018-09-11spl: Allow mailbox drivers to be used within SPLLokesh Vutla
Add an option for building mailbox drivers within SPL. Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com> Signed-off-by: Lokesh Vutla <lokeshvutla@ti.com>
2018-09-11mailbox: Introduce K3 Secure Proxy DriverLokesh Vutla
Secure Proxy module manages hardware threads that are meant for communication between the processor entities. Adding support for this driver. Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com> Signed-off-by: Lokesh Vutla <lokeshvutla@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Andreas Dannenberg <dannenberg@ti.com>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-04-27Remove unnecessary instances of DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTRTom Rini
We have a large number of places where while we historically referenced gd in the code we no longer do, as well as cases where the code added that line "just in case" during development and never dropped it. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-06-01dm: mailbox: Update uclass to support livetreeSimon Glass
Update the mailbox uclass to support livetree. Fix the xlate() method in all callers. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2017-06-01dm: Rename dev_addr..() functionsSimon Glass
These support the flat device tree. We want to use the dev_read_..() prefix for functions that support both flat tree and live tree. So rename the existing functions to avoid confusion. In the end we will have: 1. dev_read_addr...() - works on devices, supports flat/live tree 2. devfdt_get_addr...() - current functions, flat tree only 3. of_get_address() etc. - new functions, live tree only All drivers will be written to use 1. That function will in turn call either 2 or 3 depending on whether the flat or live tree is in use. Note this involves changing some dead code - the imx_lpi2c.c file. 2017-02-08dm: core: Replace of_offset with accessorSimon Glass
At present devices use a simple integer offset to record the device tree node associated with the device. In preparation for supporting a live device tree, which uses a node pointer instead, refactor existing code to access this field through an inline function. 2016-10-13libfdt: Bring in upstream stringlist functionsSimon Glass
These have now landed upstream. The naming is different and in one case the function signature has changed. Update the code to match. This applies the following upstream commits by Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> : 604e61e fdt: Add functions to retrieve strings 8702bd1 fdt: Add a function to get the index of a string 2218387 fdt: Add a function to count strings Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-08-04ARM: tegra: adapt to latest HSP DT bindingStephen Warren
The DT binding for the Tegra186 HSP module apparently wasn't quite final when I posted initial U-Boot support for it. Add the final DT binding doc and adapt all code and DT files to match it. 2016-06-19mailbox: add Tegra186 HSP driverStephen Warren
Tegra186's HSP module implements doorbells, mailboxes, semaphores, and shared interrupts. This patch provides a driver for HSP, and hooks it into the mailbox API. Currently, only doorbells are supported. Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2016-05-26mailbox: implement a sandbox testStephen Warren
This adds a sandbox mailbox implementation (provider), a test client device, instantiates them both from Sandbox's DT, and adds a DM test that excercises everything. Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> # v1
2016-05-26Add a mailbox driver framework/uclassStephen Warren
A mailbox is a hardware mechanism for transferring small message and/or notifications between the CPU on which U-Boot runs and some other device such as an auxilliary CPU running firmware or a hardware module. This patch defines a standard API that connects mailbox clients to mailbox providers (drivers). Initially, DT is the only supported method for connecting the two. The DT binding specification (mailbox.txt) was taken from Linux kernel v4.5's Documentation/devicetree/bindings/mailbox/mailbox.txt.
