2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-04-08net: Move enetaddr env access code to env config instead of net configAlex Kiernan
In order that we can use eth_env_* even when CONFIG_NET isn't set, move these functions to environment code from net code. This fixes failures such as: board/ti/am335x/built-in.o: In function `board_late_init': board/ti/am335x/board.c:752: undefined reference to `eth_env_set_enetaddr' u-boot/board/ti/am335x/board.c:766: undefined reference to `eth_env_set_enetaddr' which caters for use cases such as: commit f411b5cca48f ("board: am335x: Always set eth/eth1addr environment variable") when Ethernet is required in Linux, but not U-Boot. 2017-10-04treewide: replace with error() with pr_err()Masahiro Yamada
U-Boot widely uses error() as a bit noisier variant of printf(). This macro causes name conflict with the following line in include/linux/compiler-gcc.h: # define __compiletime_error(message) __attribute__((error(message))) This prevents us from using __compiletime_error(), and makes it difficult to fully sync BUILD_BUG macros with Linux. (Notice Linux's BUILD_BUG_ON_MSG is implemented by using compiletime_assert().) Let's convert error() into now treewide-available pr_err(). Done with the help of Coccinelle, excluing tools/ directory. The semantic patch I used is as follows: // <smpl> @@@@ -error +pr_err (...) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> [trini: Re-run Coccinelle] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-06-01dm: core: Rename of_device_is_compatible()Simon Glass
The of_ prefix conflicts with the livetree version of this function. Rename it to avoid problems when we add livetree support. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2017-02-08drivers: net: cpsw: Fix reading of mac address for am43 SoCsLokesh Vutla
cpsw driver tries to get macid for am43xx SoCs using the compatible ti,am4372. But not all variants of am43x uses this complatible like epos evm uses ti,am438x. So use a generic compatible ti,am43 to get macid for all am43 based platforms. 2017-02-08dm: core: Replace of_offset with accessorSimon Glass
At present devices use a simple integer offset to record the device tree node associated with the device. In preparation for supporting a live device tree, which uses a node pointer instead, refactor existing code to access this field through an inline function. 2016-05-24drivers: net: cpsw: add support for reading mac address from efuseMugunthan V N
Different TI platforms has to read with different combination to get the mac address from efuse. So add support to read mac address based on machine/device compatibles. The code is taken from Linux drivers/net/ethernet/ti/cpsw-common.c done by Tony Lindgren.
