2020-07-10pci: Add driver for Broadcom BCM2711 SoC PCIe controllerSylwester Nawrocki
This patch adds basic driver PCI Express controller found on Broadcom set-top-box SoCs, e.g. BCM2711. The code is based on Linux upstream driver (pcie-brcmstb.c) with MSI handling removed. The inbound access memory region is not currently parsed from dma-ranges DT property and a fixed 3GB region is used. The patch has been tested on RPI4 board, i.e. on BCM2711 SoC with VL805 USB Host Controller. 2020-05-22pci: Add Rockchip PCIe PHY controller driverJagan Teki
Yes, it is possible to have a dedicated UCLASS PHY driver for this Rockchip PCIe PHY but there are some issues on Generic PHY framework to support the same. The Generic PHY framework is unable to get the PHY if the PHY parent is of a different uclass. Say if we try to get the PCIe PHY then the phy-uclass will look for PHY in the first instance if it is not in the root node it will try to probe the parent by assuming that the actual PHY is inside the parent PHY of UCLASS_PHY. But, in rk3399 hardware representation PHY like emmc, usb and pcie are part of syscon which is completely a different of UCLASS_SYSCON. Example: grf: syscon@ff770000 { compatible = "rockchip,rk3399-grf", "syscon", "simple-mfd"; reg = <0x0 0xff770000 0x0 0x10000>; #address-cells = <1>; #size-cells = <1>; pcie_phy: pcie-phy { compatible = "rockchip,rk3399-pcie-phy"; clocks = <&cru SCLK_PCIEPHY_REF>; clock-names = "refclk"; #phy-cells = <1>; resets = <&cru SRST_PCIEPHY>; drive-impedance-ohm = <50>; reset-names = "phy"; status = "disabled"; }; }; Due to this limitation, this patch adds a separate PHY driver for Rockchip PCIe. This might be removed in future once Generic PHY supports this limitation. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2014-11-25pci: Add general support for execution of video ROMsSimon Glass
Some platforms don't have native code for dealing with their video hardware. In some cases they use a binary blob to set it up and perform required actions like setting the video mode. This approach is a hangover from the old PC days where a ROM was provided and executed during startup. Even now, these ROMs are supplied as a way to set up video. It avoids the code for every video chip needing to be provided in the boot loader. But it makes the video much less flexible - e.g. it is not possible to do anything else while the video init is happening (including waiting hundreds of milliseconds for display panels to start up). In any case, to deal with this sad state of affairs, provide an API for execution of x86 video ROMs, either natively or through emulation. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2013-11-09malta: support for coreFPGA6 boardsPaul Burton
This patch adds support for running on Malta boards using coreFPGA6 core cards, including support for the msc01 system controller used with them. The system controller is detected at runtime allowing one U-boot binary to run on a Malta with either. Due to the PCI I/O base differing between Maltas using gt64120 & msc01 system controllers, the UART setup is modified slightly. A second UART is added so that there is one pointing at the correct address for each system controller. The Malta board then defines its own default_serial_console function to select the correct one at runtime. The incorrect UART will simply not function. Tested on: - A coreFPGA6 Malta running interAptiv and proAptiv bitstreams, both with and without an L2 cache. - QEMU. Signed-off-by: Paul Burton <paul.burton@imgtec.com>

2010-11-17Switch from archive libraries to partial linkingSebastien Carlier
Before this commit, weak symbols were not overridden by non-weak symbols found in archive libraries when linking with recent versions of binutils. As stated in the System V ABI, "the link editor does not extract archive members to resolve undefined weak symbols". This commit changes all Makefiles to use partial linking (ld -r) instead of creating library archives, which forces all symbols to participate in linking, allowing non-weak symbols to override weak symbols as intended. This approach is also used by Linux, from which the gmake function cmd_link_o_target (defined in config.mk and used in all Makefiles) is inspired. The name of each former library archive is preserved except for extensions which change from ".a" to ".o". This commit updates references accordingly where needed, in particular in some linker scripts. This commit reveals board configurations that exclude some features but include source files that depend these disabled features in the build, resulting in undefined symbols. Known such cases include: - disabling CMD_NET but not CMD_NFS; - enabling CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT but not CONFIG_QE. Signed-off-by: Sebastien Carlier <sebastien.carlier@gmail.com>
