2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-06-01dm: Rename dev_addr..() functionsSimon Glass
These support the flat device tree. We want to use the dev_read_..() prefix for functions that support both flat tree and live tree. So rename the existing functions to avoid confusion. In the end we will have: 1. dev_read_addr...() - works on devices, supports flat/live tree 2. devfdt_get_addr...() - current functions, flat tree only 3. of_get_address() etc. - new functions, live tree only All drivers will be written to use 1. That function will in turn call either 2 or 3 depending on whether the flat or live tree is in use. Note this involves changing some dead code - the imx_lpi2c.c file. Add the uart init function to be used on both probe and the early debug uart init. For the latter, the input clock should be from CONFIG_DEBUG_UART_CLOCK. Signed-off-by: Wenyou Yang <wenyou.yang@atmel.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2014-11-21dm: at91: Add driver model support for the serial driverSimon Glass
Add driver model support while retaining the existing legacy code. This allows the driver to support boards that have converted to driver model as well as those that have not. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2012-10-17serial: Use default_serial_puts() in driversMarek Vasut
Replace the in-place ad-hoc implementation of serial_puts() within the drivers with default_serial_puts() call. This cuts down on the code duplication quite a bit. Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de> Cc: Marek Vasut <marek.vasut@gmail.com> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2012-10-15serial: Remove CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI from serial driversMarek Vasut
Remove the support for not-CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI part from serial port drivers and some board files. Since CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI is now enabled by default, that part is a dead code. Remove it. 2012-10-15serial: arm: Implement CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI into atmel serial driverMarek Vasut
Implement support for CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI into atmel serial driver. This driver was so far only usable directly, but this patch also adds support for the multi method. This allows using more than one serial driver alongside the atmel driver. Also, add a weak implementation of default_serial_console() returning this driver. 2012-09-01AT91: Small fix on AT91 USART initialization codeXu, Hong
Before reset dbgu transmitter, we just wait TXEMPTY to drain the transmitter register(Just in case). If not doing this, we may sometimes see several weird characters from DBGU.
