2019-08-11env: Drop environment.h header file where not neededSimon Glass
This header file is now only used by files that access internal environment features. Drop it from various places where it is not needed. Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-08-11env: Move env_set() to env.hSimon Glass
Move env_set() over to the new header file. Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-02-01usb: ether: call _usb_eth_halt() if initialization failsJean-Jacques Hiblot
If the host does not respond in time, the initialization fails. However the usb ether driver will still be registered. This will make usb_gadget_probe_driver() fail the next time the initialization is attempted because it cannot find an available UDC. Fixing this by calling _usb_eth_halt() when the init fails. 2019-01-24net: remove CONFIG_MCAST_TFTPChris Packham
No mainline board enables CONFIG_MCAST_TFTP and there have been compilation issues with the code for some time. Additionally, it has a potential buffer underrun issue (reported as a side note in CVE-2018-18439). Remove the multicast TFTP code but keep the driver API for the future addition of IPv6. 2018-12-07dm: usb: create a new UCLASS ID for USB gadget devicesJean-Jacques Hiblot
UCLASS_USB_DEV_GENERIC was meant for USB devices connected to host controllers, not gadget devices. Adding a new UCLASS for gadget devices alone. Also move the generic DM code for USB gadgets in a separate file for clarity. Signed-off-by: Jean-Jacques Hiblot <jjhiblot@ti.com>
2018-12-07usb: gadget: Do not call board_usb_xxx() directly in USB gadget driversJean-Jacques Hiblot

2018-10-10net.h: Include linux/if_ether.h to avoid duplicationBin Meng
There are plenty of existing drivers that have macros like ETH_ALEN defined in their own source files. Now that we imported the kernel's if_ether.h to U-Boot we can reduce some duplication. Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-04-08net: Move enetaddr env access code to env config instead of net configAlex Kiernan
In order that we can use eth_env_* even when CONFIG_NET isn't set, move these functions to environment code from net code. This fixes failures such as: board/ti/am335x/built-in.o: In function `board_late_init': board/ti/am335x/board.c:752: undefined reference to `eth_env_set_enetaddr' u-boot/board/ti/am335x/board.c:766: undefined reference to `eth_env_set_enetaddr' which caters for use cases such as: commit f411b5cca48f ("board: am335x: Always set eth/eth1addr environment variable") when Ethernet is required in Linux, but not U-Boot. 2017-10-04treewide: replace with error() with pr_err()Masahiro Yamada
U-Boot widely uses error() as a bit noisier variant of printf(). This macro causes name conflict with the following line in include/linux/compiler-gcc.h: # define __compiletime_error(message) __attribute__((error(message))) This prevents us from using __compiletime_error(), and makes it difficult to fully sync BUILD_BUG macros with Linux. (Notice Linux's BUILD_BUG_ON_MSG is implemented by using compiletime_assert().) Let's convert error() into now treewide-available pr_err(). Done with the help of Coccinelle, excluing tools/ directory. The semantic patch I used is as follows: // <smpl> @@@@ -error +pr_err (...) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> [trini: Re-run Coccinelle] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2013-10-20usb: gadget: ether set wMaxPacketSizeTroy Kisky
set wMaxPacketSize for full speed descriptors fs_source_desc, fs_sink_desc to 64. Full-speed bulk endpoint can have a maximum packet size of 8, 16, 32, or 64 bytes, so choice 64. The hs_source_desc, hs_sink_desc, already have their wMaxPacketSize set to 512. That is the only legal value for high speed bulk endpoints. Strictly speaking, this patch is not needed because usb_ep_autoconfig will call ep_matches which will override wMaxPacketSize for BULK endpoints only with the size associated with the endpoint setup by the udc driver. But if you want to rely on this, you may as well combine the full speed descriptor with the high speed descriptor to minimize confusion. Signed-off-by: Troy Kisky <troy.kisky@boundarydevices.com>

The gadget ethernet driver needs to keep copies of the MAC address (at both endpoints) as strings so it needs a custom function for validation of the MAC.
