2020-02-05dm: core: Create a new header file for 'compat' featuresSimon Glass
At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers. One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox which needs to use the system malloc() in some files. Move the compatibility features into a separate header file. 2020-02-05dm: core: Require users of devres to include the headerSimon Glass
At present devres.h is included in all files that include dm.h but few make use of it. Also this pulls in linux/compat which adds several more headers. Drop the automatic inclusion and require files to include devres themselves. This provides a good indication of which files use devres. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2016-01-19Add more SPDX-License-Identifier tagsTom Rini
In a number of places we had wordings of the GPL (or LGPL in a few cases) license text that were split in such a way that it wasn't caught previously. Convert all of these to the correct SPDX-License-Identifier tag. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2015-12-31usb: musb: Fix hub port setting for SPLIT transactionsStefan Brüns
The ifdef'ed Linux kernel code uses the 1 based port number, whereas U-Boot puts a 0 based port number into the register. The reason the 0 based port number apparently works can probably be taken from the USB 2.0 spec: 8.4.2.2 Start-Split Transaction Token ... The host must correctly set the port field for single and multiple TT hub implementations. A single TT hub implementation *may ignore* the port field. Actually, as far as I understand, a multi TT hub defaults to single TT (bAlternateSetting: 0) until switched via SetInterface, so even "port 42" would work. The change was verified by hardcoding the port number to a wrong value, SPLIT transactions kept working (although using a DWC2 instead of MUSB). Tested hubs are the RPi onboard SMC9514 and an external "05e3:0608 Genesys Logic, Inc. USB-2.0 4-Port HUB". The former is a multi TT hub, the latter single TT only. 2015-12-31usb: Move determination of TT hub address/port into separate functionStefan Brüns
Start split and complete split tokens need the hub address and the downstream port of the first HS hub (device view). The core of the function was duplicated in both host/ehci_hcd and musb-new/usb-compat.h. 2015-07-21musb: Update usb-compat to work with struct usb_device without a parent ptrHans de Goede
When building with CONFIG_DM_USB=y struct usb_device does not have a parent pointer. This commit adds support to the musb code to deal with this. Signed-off-by: Hans de Goede <hdegoede@redhat.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-01-18musb-new: Properly remove a transfer from the schedule on timeoutHans de Goede
If a transfer / urb times-out, properly remove it from the schedule, rather then letting it sit on the ep head. This stops the musb code from getting confused and refusing to queue further transfers after a timeout. Tested by unplugging a usb-keyboard, replugging it and doing a usb-reset, before this commit the keyboard would not work after the usb-reset. Signed-off-by: Hans de Goede <hdegoede@redhat.com>
2014-09-16kbuild: force to define __UBOOT__ in all the C sourcesMasahiro Yamada
U-Boot has imported various source files from other projects, mostly Linux. Something like #ifdef __UBOOT__ [ modification for U-Boot ] #else [ original code ] #endif is an often used strategy for clarification of adjusted parts, that is, easier re-sync in future. Instead of defining __UBOOT__ in each source file, passing it from the top Makefile would be easier. 2012-11-20musb-new: port of Linux musb driverIlya Yanok
Existing U-Boot musb driver has no support for the new gadget framework and also seems to have other limitations. As gadget framework is ported from Linux it seems pretty natural to port musb gadget driver as well. This driver supports both host and peripheral modes. This is not a replacement for current musb driver (at least now) as there are still some consumers of the old UDC interface. No DMA operation support included, CONFIG_MUSB_PIO_ONLY should be defined. Virtual root hub device is not implemented. Known problems: with no devices connected usb_lowlevel_start() fails. Signed-off-by: Ilya Yanok <ilya.yanok@cogentembedded.com>
