2020-02-05dm: core: Require users of devres to include the headerSimon Glass
At present devres.h is included in all files that include dm.h but few make use of it. Also this pulls in linux/compat which adds several more headers. Drop the automatic inclusion and require files to include devres themselves. This provides a good indication of which files use devres. 2018-10-09ctags: Minor changes to fix ctags outputSimon Glass
At present ctags emits lines with unmatched quotes which means that the output file is invalid. This is with exuberant-ctags version 5.9~svn201103 but I also see it with plain ctags. I am not sure that it is a bug though. Make a few minor changes in the source code to fix this problem. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-04-27Remove unnecessary instances of DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTRTom Rini
We have a large number of places where while we historically referenced gd in the code we no longer do, as well as cases where the code added that line "just in case" during development and never dropped it. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2017-06-09tegra: video: Don't power up the SOR twiceSimon Glass
If U-Boot is the secondary boot loader, or has been run from itself, the SOR may already be powered up. Powering it up again causes a hang, so detect this situation and skip it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de>
2017-02-08dm: core: Replace of_offset with accessorSimon Glass
At present devices use a simple integer offset to record the device tree node associated with the device. In preparation for supporting a live device tree, which uses a node pointer instead, refactor existing code to access this field through an inline function. 2016-02-16tegra: nyan-big: Move the LCD driver to driver modelSimon Glass
Adjust the driver to use driver model. The SOR becomes a bridge device. We use the normal simple_panel driver to handle the display itself. We also need to enable some options such as regulators, PWMs and DM_VIDEO itself. The SOR is required for talking to eDP LCD panels. Add a driver for this which will be used by the DisplayPort driver. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>
