2011-10-17powerpc: cpm2 boards: update fcc register logicMike Frysinger
In the recent dropping of !NET_MULTI code (commit e2a53458a7ab37523304), I misread the logic in include/net.h. Some of it was used by NET_MULTI code as glue between the multi/non-multi worlds for cpm2 boards. Rather than restore the block of code, push the logic to the board config headers where it all belongs. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2011-10-05board configs: drop NET_MULTI referencesMike Frysinger
Now that none of the core checks CONFIG_NET_MULTI, there's not much point in boards defining it. So scrub all references to it. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2011-09-29powerpc/85xx: introduce and document CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR macrosTimur Tabi
Introduce the CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS_HIGH and CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS_LOW macros, which contain the high and low portions of CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS. This is necessary for the assembly-language code that relocates CCSR, since the assembler does not understand 64-bit constants. CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS is automatically defined from the CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS_HIGH and CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS_LOW macros, so it should not be defined in a board header file. Similarly, CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_DEFAULT is defined for each SOC in config_mpc85xx.h, so it should also not be defined in the board header file. CONFIG_SYS_CCSR_DO_NOT_RELOCATE is a "short-cut" macro that guarantees that CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_PHYS is set to the same value as CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_DEFAULT, and so CCSR will not be relocated. Since CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_DEFAULT is locked to a fixed value, multi-stage U-Boot builds (e.g. NAND) are required to relocate CCSR only during the last stage (i.e. the "real" U-Boot). All other stages should define CONFIG_SYS_CCSR_DO_NOT_RELOCATE to ensure that CCSR is not relocated. README is updated with descriptions of all the CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_xxx macros. 2011-04-29powerpc/85xx: Bump up the CONFIG_SYS_BOOTM_LEN to 64M on FSL 85xx boardsKumar Gala
CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ has been 64M on these boards for some time so we should also allow the kernel image to be up to 64M decompressed. This also matches what we pass to the OS based on the ePAPR specification. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2011-01-14powerpc/85xx: Bump up the CONFIG_SYS_BOOTM_LEN to 16M on FSL 85xx boardsKumar Gala
CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ has been 16M on these boards for some time so we should also allow the kernel image to be up to 16M decompressed. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Acked-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-10-26Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. 2010-10-18powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser
Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
2010-10-18Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk
Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
2010-10-18Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk
The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. 2010-07-16mpc85xx: Add reginfo commandBecky Bruce
The new command dumps the TLBCAM, the LAWs, and the BR/OR regs. Add CONFIG_CMD_REGINFO to the config for all MPC85xx parts. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <beckyb@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-12-08common: delete CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_STRTOULHeiko Schocher
There is more and more usage of printing 64bit values, so enable this feature generally, and delete the CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_STRTOUL defines. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>

2009-07-2185xx: Bump up the BOOTMAP to 16M on FSL 85xx boardsKumar Gala
We have always mapped at least 16M in the kernel and we have seen cases with new kernel features that a kernel image needs more than 8M of memory. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-03-3085xx: Use common LSDMR defines from asm/fsl_lbc.hKumar Gala
Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-02-18rename CONFIG_CMD_ENV to CONFIG_CMD_SAVEENVMike Frysinger
The CONFIG_CMD_ENV option controls enablement of the `saveenv` command rather than a generic "env" command, or anything else related to the environment. So, let's make sure the define is named accordingly. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2009-01-2385xx: Introduce CONFIG_SYS_PCI*_IO_VIRT for FSL boardsKumar Gala
Introduce a new define to seperate out the virtual address that PCI IO space is at from the physical address. In most situations these are mapped 1:1. However any code accessing the bus should use VIRT. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org> Acked-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com>
2009-01-2385xx: Introduce CONFIG_SYS_PCI*_MEM_VIRT for FSL boardsKumar Gala

2009-01-2385xx: Convert CONFIG_SYS_PCI*_IO_BASE to _IO_BUS for FSL boardsKumar Gala
Use CONFIG_SYS_PCI*_IO_BUS for the bus relative address instead of _IO_BASE so we are more explicit. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-01-2385xx: Convert CONFIG_SYS_{PCI*,RIO*}_MEM_BASE to _MEM_BUS for FSL boardsKumar Gala

2008-06-11FSL LAW: Keep track of LAW allocationsKumar Gala
Make it so we keep track of which LAWs have allocated and provide a function (set_next_law) which can allocate a LAW for us if one is free. In the future we will move to doing more "dynamic" LAW allocation since the majority of users dont really care about what LAW number they are at. Also, add CONFIG_MPC8540 or CONFIG_MPC8560 to those boards which needed them Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com>
2008-06-1185xx: remove dummy board_early_init_fKumar Gala
A number of board ports have empty version of board_early_init_f for no reason since we control its via CONFIG_BOARD_EARLY_INIT_F. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-06-1185xx: Remove unused and unconfigured memory test code.Kumar Gala
Remove unused and unconfigured DDR test code from FSL 85xx boards. Besides, other common code exists. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-05-21Big white-space cleanup.Wolfgang Denk
This commit gets rid of a huge amount of silly white-space issues. Especially, all sequences of SPACEs followed by TAB characters get removed (unless they appear in print statements). Also remove all embedded "vim:" and "vi:" statements which hide indentation problems. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
2008-03-2685xx: Add the concept of CFG_CCSRBAR_PHYSKumar Gala
When we go to 36-bit physical addresses we need to keep the concept of the physical CCSRBAR address seperate from the virtual one. For the majority of boards CFG_CCSBAR_PHYS == CFG_CCSRBAR Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-1785xx: Get ride of old TLB setup codeKumar Gala
Now that all boards have been converted, remove old config code and the config option for the new style. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

2008-01-0985xx: Remove cache config from configs.hKumar Gala
Either use the standard defines in asm/cache.h or grab the information at runtime from the L1CFG SPR. Also, minor cleanup in cache.h to make the code a bit more readable. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

2007-12-11Update MPC8560 ADS to use libfdtKumar Gala
Updated the MPC8560 ADS config to use libfdt and assume use of aliases for ethernet, pci, and serial for the various fixups that are done. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-08-29fdt: remove unused OF_FLAT_TREE_MAX_SIZE referencesKim Phillips
and make some minor corrections to the FDT part of the README. Signed-off-by: Kim Phillips <kim.phillips@freescale.com>
2007-08-16Add CONFIG_HAS_ETH0 to all boards with TSECAndy Fleming
The 85xx code now relies on CONFIG_HAS_ETH0 to determine whether to update TSEC1's device-tree node, so we need to add it to all the boards with TSECs. Do this for 83xx and 86xx, too, since they will eventually do something similar. Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com>
2007-08-16Define tsec flag values in config filesAndy Fleming
The tsec_info structure and array has a "flags" field for each ethernet controller. This field is the only reason there are settings. Switch to defining TSECn_FLAGS for each controller in the config header, and we can greatly simplify the array, and also simplify the addition of future boards.
