2012-06-20hush.c: Move default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT_HUSH_PS2 to hush.cTom Rini
Exactly one board has defined CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT_HUSH_PS2 to a value different than "> " which is vision2. I have Cc'd the maintainer here as I strongly suspect this is a bug rather than intentional behavior. 2012-06-20CONFIG_SYS_BAUDRATE_TABLE: Add <config_fallbacks.h>, place thereTom Rini
We provide a default table of { 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 } in <config_fallbacks.h> which mkconfig places after <configs/...h> in the generated config file. This is used when a board has not set its own table. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. 2010-10-26Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. 2010-10-18powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser
Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. 2010-10-18Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk
Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
2010-08-09net ppc: fix ethernet device names with spacesHeiko Schocher
since commit 1384f3bb8a4f9066805b70c1418eda78ecb73fdd ethernet names with spaces drop a Warning: eth device name has a space! message. This patch fix it for: - "FEC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc512x, mpc5xxx, mpc8xx and mpc8220 boards. renamed to "FEC". - "SCC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc8xx, mpc82xx based boards. Renamed to "SCC". - "HDLC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc8xx boards Renamed to "HDLC" - "FCC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc8260 and mpc85xx based boards. Renamed to "FCC" Tested on the kup4k board. 2010-03-12TQM8xx: enable device tree support on all TQM8xx based boards.Heiko Schocher
Also enable support for CONFIG_HWCONFIG because we use this for configuring if this hardware has a FEC or not. syntax: hwconfig=fec:on if hardware has an fec hwconfig=fec:off if hardware has no fec Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
2009-07-28TQM8xx* boards: set larger SMC Rx buffer lenWolfgang Denk
Commit 2b3f12c2 added support for configurable SMC Rx buffer length on 8xx systems. Enable this feature on TQM8xx* based boards. This fixes the problem that pasting text in the middle of a line (i. e. inserting in edit mode) did not work - only the first two characters got inserted, the rest was lost. 2009-06-12mtd: MTD related config header changes (mtdparts command)Stefan Roese
By changing the cmd_mtdparts to only use the MTD infrastructure and not the direct interface to the CFI NOR FLASH driver we now need to add the MTD infrastructure to all boards using those mtdparts commands. This patch adds those components: CONFIG_MTD_DEVICE (for all FLASH types) plus CONFIG_FLASH_CFI_MTD (for NOR FLASH) To all board maintainers: Please test this on your platforms and report any problems/issues found. 2009-03-20Separate mtdparts command from jffs2Stefan Roese
Currently the mtdparts commands are included in the jffs2 command support. This doesn't make sense anymore since other commands (e.g. UBI) use this infrastructure as well now. This patch separates the mtdparts commands from the jffs2 commands making it possible to only select mtdparts when no JFFS2 support is needed. 2007-10-15TQM866M: fix SDRAM refreshMartin Krause
At 133 MHz the current SDRAM refresh rate is too fast (measured 4 * 1.17 us). CFG_MAMR_PTA changes from 39 to 97. This result in a refresh rate of 4 * 7.8 us at the default clock 50 MHz. At 133 MHz the value will be then 4 * 2.9 us. This is a compromise until a new method is found to adjust the refresh rate. Signed-off-by: Martin Krause <martin.krause@tqs.de>

2007-09-16TQM8xx[LM]: Fix broken environment alignment.Wolfgang Denk
With recent toolchains, the environment sectors were no longer aligned to sector boundaries. The reason was a combination of two bugs: 1) common/environment.c assumed that CONFIG_TQM8xxL would be defined for all TQM8xxL and TQM8xxM boards. But "include/common.h", where this gets defined, is not included here (and cannot be included without causing lots of problems). Added a new #define CFG_USE_PPCENV for all boards which really want to put the environment is a ".ppcenv" section. 2) The linker scripts just include environment.o, silently assuming that the objects in that file are really in the order in which they are coded in the C file, i. e. "environment" first, then "redundand_environment", and "env_size" last. However, current toolchains (GCC-4.x) reorder the objects, causing the environment data not to start on a flash sector boundary: Instead of: we got: 40008000 T environment 40008000 T env_size 4000c000 T redundand_environment 40008004 T redundand_environment 40010000 T env_size 4000c004 T environment Note: this patch fixes just the first part, and cures the alignment problem by making sure that "env_size" gets placed correctly. However, we still have a potential issue because primary and redundant environment sectors are actually swapped, i. e. we have now: 40008000 T redundand_environment 4000c000 T environment 40010000 T env_size This shall be fixed in the next version.
