2015-09-28am437x_evm: increase phy autoneg timeoutSekhar Nori
When AM437x EVM is connected to Gigabit switch, it takes more time to finish auto-negotiation than on a 10/100 switch. The default 4 second limit times-out more often than not. This is observed when testing with a D-Link DGS-1008A desktop switch. Increase the auto-negotiation time-out for AM437x EVM to handle this case. Signed-off-by: Sekhar Nori <nsekhar@ti.com>

2015-08-28include: configs: am43xx_evm: add 'usb stop' in usbboot envKishon Vijay Abraham I
The usbboot environment variable has 'usb start' command but doesn't have the corresponding 'usb stop' command. This breaks usb peripheral mode if tried after 'run usbboot' fails to load the images in usb host mode. Fix it here by adding 'usb stop' command in usbboot env. 2015-07-27configs: split ti_armv7_common into a omap generic headerNishanth Menon
TI armv7 based SoCs are based on two architectures - one based on OMAP generation architecture and others based on Keystone architecture. Many of the options are architecture specific, however a lot are common with v7 architecture. So, step 1 will be to move out OMAP specific stuff from ti_armv7_common into a ti_armv7_omap.h header which is then used by all the relevant architecture headers. This introduces a coherent scheme for naming USB download gadget and functions config options. The download USB gadget config option is moved to CONFIG_USB_GADGET_DOWNLOAD for better consistency with other gadgets and each function's config option is moved to a CONFIG_USB_FUNCTION_ prefix. 2015-06-25Move defaults from config_cmd_default.h to KconfigJoe Hershberger

2015-06-25Move default y configs out of arch/board KconfigJoe Hershberger
Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate. Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs. A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. We almost always use UBIFS for user accessible NAND file systems and the UBIFS file system might contain more than one volume within the single NAND partition. The last NAND partition is therefore more appropriately named as "NAND.file-system" instead of "NAND.rootfs" The Linux kernel (as of v3.16) also uses "NAND.file-system" to name the last NAND partition. Selection between eMMC and NAND is controlled by: (a) Statically using Jumper on connecter (J89) present on board. 2014-06-06arm:am33xx: Rework s_init and add board_early_init_fTom Rini
With the changes to the i2c framework (and adopting the omap24xx_i2c driver to them) we can no longer call i2c functions prior to gd having been set and cleared. When SPL booting, this is handled by setting gd to point to SRAM in s_init. However in the cases where we are loaded directly by ROM (memory mapped NOR or QSPI) we need to make use of the normal hooks to slightly delay these calls. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2014-06-06am43xx_evm: Add qspiboot targetSourav Poddar
The ePOS EVM and EVM SK have QSPI as an option to boot. Add a qspiboot target that utilizes QSPI for env and so forth as an example of best practices. As QSPI is booted from directly we need to chang CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE. Note that on ePOS EVM the QSPI and NAND are mutually exclusive choices we need to handle that elsewhere, once NAND support is also added. 2014-04-17TI: Add, use a DEFAULT_LINUX_BOOT_ENV environment stringTom Rini
To deal with a reoccurring problem properly we need to specify addresses for the Linux kernel, Flatted Device Tree and ramdisk that obey the constraints within the kernel's Documentation/arm/Booting file but also make sure that we relocate things within a valid address range. It is possible with these addresses to also set fdt_high and initrd_high to the value of 0xffffffff. We don't do this by default to allow for the most likely success of people using custom addresses however. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
