2017-08-15Move environment files from common/ to env/Simon Glass
About a quarter of the files in common/ relate to the environment. It seems better to put these into their own subdirectory and remove the prefix. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2016-04-25configs: Re-sync almost all of cmd/KconfigTom Rini
This syncs up the current cmd/Kconfig and include/configs/ files with the only exception being CMD_NAND. Due to how we have used this historically we need to take further care here when converting. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2015-08-13kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov
Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. 2015-05-19net: Remove all references to CONFIG_ETHADDR and friendsJoe Hershberger
We really don't want boards defining fixed MAC addresses in their config so we just remove the option to set it in a fixed way. 2012-06-20CONFIG_SYS_BAUDRATE_TABLE: Add <config_fallbacks.h>, place thereTom Rini
We provide a default table of { 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 } in <config_fallbacks.h> which mkconfig places after <configs/...h> in the generated config file. This is used when a board has not set its own table. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2011-10-05board configs: drop NET_MULTI referencesMike Frysinger
Now that none of the core checks CONFIG_NET_MULTI, there's not much point in boards defining it. So scrub all references to it. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. 2010-10-26Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. 2010-10-18Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk
The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. 2009-08-25unify {CONFIG_,}ENV_IS_EMBEDDEDMike Frysinger
