2013-11-04config: Add a default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPTRob Herring
The definitions for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT are varied with little reason other than to display the board name. Over half the definitions are "==> ", so make this the default. The rest of the boards remain unchanged to avoid breaking any external scripts expecting a certain prompt. 2012-06-20CONFIG_SYS_BAUDRATE_TABLE: Add <config_fallbacks.h>, place thereTom Rini
We provide a default table of { 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 } in <config_fallbacks.h> which mkconfig places after <configs/...h> in the generated config file. This is used when a board has not set its own table. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

2011-10-05board configs: drop NET_MULTI referencesMike Frysinger
Now that none of the core checks CONFIG_NET_MULTI, there's not much point in boards defining it. So scrub all references to it. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. 2010-10-26Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. 2009-06-12mtd: MTD related config header changes (mtdparts command)Stefan Roese
By changing the cmd_mtdparts to only use the MTD infrastructure and not the direct interface to the CFI NOR FLASH driver we now need to add the MTD infrastructure to all boards using those mtdparts commands. This patch adds those components: CONFIG_MTD_DEVICE (for all FLASH types) plus CONFIG_FLASH_CFI_MTD (for NOR FLASH) To all board maintainers: Please test this on your platforms and report any problems/issues found. 2009-03-20Separate mtdparts command from jffs2Stefan Roese
Currently the mtdparts commands are included in the jffs2 command support. This doesn't make sense anymore since other commands (e.g. UBI) use this infrastructure as well now. This patch separates the mtdparts commands from the jffs2 commands making it possible to only select mtdparts when no JFFS2 support is needed. 2008-05-21Big white-space cleanup.Wolfgang Denk
This commit gets rid of a huge amount of silly white-space issues. Especially, all sequences of SPACEs followed by TAB characters get removed (unless they appear in print statements). Also remove all embedded "vim:" and "vi:" statements which hide indentation problems. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>

2007-09-16TQM8xx[LM]: Fix broken environment alignment.Wolfgang Denk
With recent toolchains, the environment sectors were no longer aligned to sector boundaries. The reason was a combination of two bugs: 1) common/environment.c assumed that CONFIG_TQM8xxL would be defined for all TQM8xxL and TQM8xxM boards. But "include/common.h", where this gets defined, is not included here (and cannot be included without causing lots of problems). Added a new #define CFG_USE_PPCENV for all boards which really want to put the environment is a ".ppcenv" section. 2) The linker scripts just include environment.o, silently assuming that the objects in that file are really in the order in which they are coded in the C file, i. e. "environment" first, then "redundand_environment", and "env_size" last. However, current toolchains (GCC-4.x) reorder the objects, causing the environment data not to start on a flash sector boundary: Instead of: we got: 40008000 T environment 40008000 T env_size 4000c000 T redundand_environment 40008004 T redundand_environment 40010000 T env_size 4000c004 T environment Note: this patch fixes just the first part, and cures the alignment problem by making sure that "env_size" gets placed correctly. However, we still have a potential issue because primary and redundant environment sectors are actually swapped, i. e. we have now: 40008000 T redundand_environment 4000c000 T environment 40010000 T env_size This shall be fixed in the next version. 2007-01-23[iDMR] Using MII-related commands on iDRM board doesn't work now (e.g.,Bartlomiej Sieka
