2017-08-13spl: moveconfig: remove SPL_LDSCRIPT definitions for header-filesPhilipp Tomsich
With the hierarchical defaults set up, we remove these from the header files. To do so, I've run moveconfig on SPL_LDSCRIPT and this commits the changes. Signed-off-by: Philipp Tomsich <philipp.tomsich@theobroma-systems.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2017-07-25Convert CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC/NAND/UBI and NOWHERE to KconfigSimon Glass
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. 2017-06-05t81xx: Migrate TI81XX/TI816X/TI814X symbols to KconfigTom Rini
The symbol CONFIG_TI81XX is used for the parts that are common to the TI816x and TI814x SoCs and are not part of CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS nor CONFIG_AM33XX. It however has so few uses that we can just modify the code to check for both and drop the symbol. The symbols CONFIG_TI816X and CONFIG_TI814X are for the repective SoCs. 2017-05-15gpio: Move OMAP_GPIO to KconfigTom Rini
This driver is used often enough such that we want to have this enabled by default on any ARCH_OMAP2PLUS board, and this only compiles on ARCH_OMAP2PLUS due to required defines, so mark that as the depends. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-05-15TI: Drop 'CONFIG_OMAP'Tom Rini
In the two cases in the code where we use CONFIG_OMAP as a useful test currently we can make use of CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS instead. With that changed we can drop all defines of CONFIG_OMAP. While in here, CONFIG_OMAP3430 is only defined and then never used, so drop. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-04-06Remove various unused interrupt related codeTom Rini
With d53ecad92f06 some unused interrupt related code was removed. However all of these options are currently unused. Rather than migrate some of these options to Kconfig we just remove the code in question. The only related code changes here are that in some cases we use CONFIG_STACKSIZE in non-IRQ related context. In these cases we rename and move the value local to the code in question. Fixes: d53ecad92f06 ("Merge branch 'master' of git://git.denx.de/u-boot-sunxi") Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2017-02-12flash: complete CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH move with renamingMasahiro Yamada
We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH. Actually, we have more instances of "#ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH" than those of "#ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH". Flipping the logic will make the code more readable. Besides, negative meaning symbols do not fit in obj-$(CONFIG_...) style Makefiles. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit "default n" to "default y" in the config entry in common/Kconfig. [2] Run "tools/moveconfig.py -y -r HEAD SYS_NO_FLASH" [3] Rename the instances in defconfigs by the following: find . -path './configs/*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i \ -e '/CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH=y/d' \ -e 's/# CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH is not set/CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH=y/' [4] Change the conditionals by the following: find . -name '*.[ch]' | xargs sed -i \ -e 's/ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifdef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifndef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/!defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' \ -e 's/defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/!defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' [5] Modify the following manually - Rename the rest of instances - Remove the description from README - Create the new Kconfig entry in drivers/mtd/Kconfig - Remove the old Kconfig entry from common/Kconfig - Remove the garbage comments from include/configs/*.h Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
2017-01-31mmc: move CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC to KconfigMasahiro Yamada
Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool. 2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. 2016-09-06TI: Rework SRAM definitions and maximumsTom Rini
On all TI platforms the ROM defines a "downloaded image" area at or near the start of SRAM which is followed by a reserved area. As it is at best bad form and at worst possibly harmful in corner cases to write in this reserved area, we stop doing that by adding in the define NON_SECURE_SRAM_IMG_END to say where the end of the downloaded image area is and make SRAM_SCRATCH_SPACE_ADDR be one kilobyte before this. At current we define the end of scratch space at 0x228 bytes past the start of scratch space this this gives us a lot of room to grow. As these scratch uses are non-optional today, all targets are modified to respect this boundary. 2016-08-26ARM: Move SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE over to KconfigTom Rini
This series moves the CONFIG_SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE. First, in nearly all cases we are mirroring the values used by the Linux Kernel here. Also, so long as (and in this case, it is true) we implement flushes in hunks that are no larger than the smallest implementation (and given that we mirror the Linux Kernel, again we are fine) it is OK to align higher. The biggest changes here are that we always use 64 bytes for CPU_V7 even if for example the underlying core is only 32 bytes (this mirrors Linux). Second, we say ARM64 uses 64 bytes not 128 (as found in the Linux Kernel) as we do not need multi-platform support (to this degree) and only the Cavium ThunderX 88xx series has a use for such large alignment. 2015-08-13kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov
Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. Currently in some cases SDRAM init requires global_data to be available and soon this will not be available prior to board_init_f(). Adjust the code paths in these cases to be correct. In some cases we had the SPL stack be in DDR as we might have large stacks (due to Falcon Mode + Environment). In these cases switch to CONFIG_SPL_STACK_R. In other cases we had simply been setting CONFIG_SPL_STACK into SRAM. In these cases we no longer need to (CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR is used and is also in SRAM) so drop those lines. 2014-12-04MMC SD fs boot partition config coding style and proper descriptionPaul Kocialkowski
CONFIG_SYS_MMC_SD_FS_BOOT_PARTITION ought to be called CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_FS_BOOT_PARTITION to keep it consistent with other config options such as: CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE_U_BOOT_SECTOR. In addition, it is not related to raw mode booting but to fs mode instead. Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <contact@paulk.fr> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

2014-07-30include: define CONFIG_SPL and CONFIG_TPL as 1Masahiro Yamada
We are about to switch to Kconfig in the next commit. But there are something to get done beforehand. In Kconfig, include/generated/autoconf.h defines boolean CONFIG macros as 1. CONFIG_SPL and CONFIG_TPL, if defined, must be set to 1. Otherwise, when switching to Kconfig, the build log would be sprinkled with warning messages like this: warning: "CONFIG_SPL" redefined [enabled by default] Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
