2020-07-17acpi: Allow creating the GNVS to failSimon Glass
In some cases an internal error may prevent this from working. Update the function return value and report the error. At present the API for writing tables does not easily support reporting errors, but once it is fully updated to use a context pointer, this will be easier. 2020-04-16x86: Move acpi_table header to main include/ directorySimon Glass
This file is potentially useful to other architectures saddled with ACPI so move most of its contents to a common location. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Wolfgang Wallner <wolfgang.wallner@br-automation.com>

This adds full reset bit in the reset register value in the ACPI FADT table, so that kernel can do a thorough reboot. Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-07-30x86: acpi: Deduplicate acpi_fill_madt() implementationAndy Shevchenko
In Baytrail and Quark support code acpi_fill_madt() is identical. Deduplicate its implementation by moving to lib/acpi_tables.c. At the same time mark acpi_fill_madt() with __weak attribute to keep a possibility to override it in platform code Signed-off-by: Andy Shevchenko <andriy.shevchenko@linux.intel.com> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
