2019-12-15x86: Make MSR_PKG_POWER_SKU commonSimon Glass
This is used on several boards so add it to the common file. Also add a useful power-limit value while we are here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2019-10-08x86: Add common functions for TDP and perf controlSimon Glass
These functions are the same on modern Intel CPUs, so use common code to set them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> [bmeng: return false instead of 0 in cpu_ivybridge_config_tdp_levels(); fix 'muiltiplier' and 'desgn' typos] Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2019-10-08x86: Use a common bus clock for Intel CPUsSimon Glass
Modern Intel CPUs use a standard bus clock value of 100MHz, so put this in a common file and tidy up the copies. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2016-03-17x86: Add some more common MSR indexesSimon Glass
Many of the model-specific indexes are common to several Intel CPUs. Add some more common ones, and remove them from the ivybridge-specific header file. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2015-04-30x86: Add a CPU driver for baytrailSimon Glass
This driver supports multi-core init and sets up the CPU frequencies correctly. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2014-11-25x86: ivybridge: Add northbridge init functionsSimon Glass
Add init for the northbridge, another part of the platform controller hub. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-11-21x86: ivybridge: Perform initial CPU setupSimon Glass
Set up the flex ratio (controls speed versus heat output) and a few other very early things. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
