2010-01-25Fix the local bus divider mappingDave Liu
The real clock divider is 4 times of the bits LCRR[CLKDIV], according the latest RevF RM. Signed-off-by: Dave Liu <daveliu@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-01-25Revert "ppc/p4080: Fix reporting of PME & FM clock frequencies"Kumar Gala
This reverts commit bc20f9a9527afe8ae406a74f74765d4323f04922. The original code was correct. I clearly need glasses or a brown paper bag. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-01-25ppc/p4080: Fix mask width of RCW fields MEM_PLL_RAT, SYS_PLL_RATJames Yang
The masks for MEM_PLL_RAT and SYS_PLL_RAT should have been 5-bits instead of 4. Signed-off-by: James Yang <James.Yang@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-01-05ppc/p4080: Fix reporting of PME & FM clock frequenciesKumar Gala
We incorrectly had the sense of PME_CLK_SEL, FM1_CLK_SEL, FM2_CLK_SEL backwards so we report the wrong frequency. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-10-27mpc85xx: Add eSDHC support for MPC8569E-MDS boardsAnton Vorontsov
eSDHC is mutually exlusive with UART0 (in 4-bits mode) and I2C2 (in 1-bit mode). When eSDHC is used, we should switch u-boot console to UART1, and make the proper device-tree fixups. Because of an erratum in prototype boards it is impossible to use eSDHC without disabling UART0 (which makes it quite easy to 'brick' the board by simply issung 'setenv hwconfig esdhc', and not able to interact with U-Boot anylonger). So, but default we assume that the board is a prototype, which is a most safe assumption. There is no way to determine board revision from a register, so we use hwconfig. 2009-09-24ppc/p4080: Determine various chip frequencies on CoreNet platformsKumar Gala
The means to determine the core, bus, and DDR frequencies are completely new on CoreNet style platforms. Additionally on p4080 we can have different frequencies for FMAN and PME IP blocks. We need to keep track of the FMAN & PME frequencies since they are used for time stamping capabilities inside each block. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-09-08ppc/85xx: Use CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC to enable sdhc clkDipen Dudhat
Enable eSDHC Clock based on generic CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC define instead of a platform define. This will enable all the 85xx platforms to use sdhc_clk based on CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC. 2009-08-288xxx: Removed CONFIG_NUM_CPUS from 85xx/86xxPoonam Aggrwal
The number of CPUs are getting detected dynamically by checking the processor SVR value. Also removed CONFIG_NUM_CPUS references from all the platforms with 85xx/86xx processors. This can help to use the same u-boot image across the platforms. Also revamped and corrected few Freescale Copyright messages. 2009-01-23Add secondary CPUs processor frequency for e500 coreHaiying Wang
This patch updates e500 freqProcessor to array based on CONFIG_NUM_CPUS, and prints each CPU's frequency separately. It also fixes up each CPU's frequency in "clock-frequency" of fdt blob. Signed-off-by: James Yang <James.Yang@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Haiying Wang <Haiying.Wang@freescale.com>
2008-12-19mpc8[56]xx: Put localbus clock in sysinfo and gdTrent Piepho
Currently MPC85xx and MPC86xx boards just calculate the localbus frequency and print it out, but don't save it. This changes where its calculated and stored to be more consistent with the CPU, CCB, TB, and DDR frequencies and the MPC83xx localbus clock. The localbus frequency is added to sysinfo and calculated when sysinfo is set up, in cpu/mpc8[56]xx/speed.c, the same as the other frequencies are. get_clocks() copies the frequency into the global data, as the other frequencies are, into a new field that is only enabled for MPC85xx and MPC86xx. checkcpu() in cpu/mpc8[56]xx/cpu.c will print out the local bus frequency from sysinfo, like the other frequencies, instead of calculating it on the spot. 2008-10-17Revert "85xx: Using proper I2C source clock divider for MPC8544"Kumar Gala
This reverts commit dffd2446fb041f38ef034b0fcf41e51e5e489159. The fix introduced by this patch is not correct. The problem is that the documentation is not correct for the MPC8544 with regards to which bit in PORDEVSR2 is for the SEC_CFG. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-10-0885xx: Using proper I2C source clock divider for MPC8544Wolfgang Grandegger
Measurements with our MPC8544 board showed that the I2C bus frequency is wrong by a factor of 1.5. Obviously, the interpretation of the MPC85xx_PORDEVSR2_SEC_CFG bit of the cfg_sec_freq register is not correct. There seems to be an error in the 8544 RM. 2008-10-07Fix the incorrect DDR clk freq reporting on 8536DSJason Jin
On 8536DS board, When the DDR clk is set async mode(SW3[6:8] != 111), The display is still sync mode DDR freq. This patch try to fix this. The display DDR freq is now the actual freq in both sync and async mode. Signed-off-by: Jason Jin <Jason.jin@freescale.com>
2008-08-27mpc85xx: Add support for the MPC8536Kumar Gala

2008-04-18Fix calculation of I2C clock for some 85xx chipsTimur Tabi
Some 85xx chips use CCB as the base clock for the I2C. Some use CCB/2, and some use CCB/3. There is no pattern that can be used to determine which chips use which frequency, so the only way to determine is to look up the actual SOC designation and use the right value for that SOC. Update immap_85xx.h to include the GUTS PORDEVSR2 register. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com>
2008-03-2685xx: Speed up get_ddr_freq() and get_bus_freq()James Yang
get_ddr_freq() and get_bus_freq() used get_sys_info() each time they were called. However, get_sys_info() recalculates extraneous information when called each time. Have get_ddr_freq() and get_bus_freq() return memoized values from global_data instead. Signed-off-by: James Yang <James.Yang@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-02-1485xx, 86xx: Determine I2C clock frequencies and store in global_dataTimur Tabi
Update global_data to define i2c1_clk and i2c2_clk to 85xx and 86xx. Update the get_clocks() function in 85xx and 86xx to determine the I2C clock frequency and store it in gd->i2c1_clk and gd->i2c2_clk. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com>
2007-12-11Handle Asynchronous DDR clock on 85xxKumar Gala
The MPC8572 introduces the concept of an asynchronous DDR clock with regards to the platform clock. Introduce get_ddr_freq() to report the DDR freq regardless of sync/async mode. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-12-11Stop using immap_t for cpm offset on 85xxKumar Gala
In the future the offsets to various blocks may not be in same location. Move to using CFG_MPC85xx_CPM_ADDR as the base of the CPM registers instead of getting it via &immap->im_cpm. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-12-11Stop using immap_t for guts offset on 85xxKumar Gala
In the future the offsets to various blocks may not be in same location. Move to using CFG_MPC85xx_GUTS_ADDR as the base of the guts registers instead of getting it via &immap->im_gur. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-04-23Reworked 85xx speed detection codeAndy Fleming
