2018-11-05net: ftgmac100: convert to driver modelCédric Le Goater
The driver is based on the previous one and the code is only adapted to fit the driver model. The support for the Faraday ftgmac100 controller is the same with MAC and MDIO bus support for RGMII/RMII modes. Configuration is updated to enable compile again. At this stage, the driver compiles but is not yet functional. 2018-11-05net: Add MT7628 ethernet driverStefan Roese
This patch adds ethernet support for the MIPS based Mediatek MT76xx SoCs (e.g. MT7628 and MT7688), including a minimum setup of the integrated switch. Xilinx is introducing Versal, an adaptive compute acceleration platform (ACAP), built on 7nm FinFET process technology. Versal ACAPs combine Scalar Processing Engines, Adaptable Hardware Engines, and Intelligent Engines with leading-edge memory and interfacing technologies to deliver powerful heterogeneous acceleration for any application. The Versal AI Core series has five devices, offering 128 to 400 AI Engines. The series includes dual-core Arm Cortex™-A72 application processors, dual-core Arm Cortex-R5 real-time processors, 256KB of on-chip memory with ECC, more than 1,900 DSP engines optimized for high-precision floating point with low latency. 2018-05-17net: MVGBE don't automatically select PHYLIBChris Packham
When Kconfig support was added for MVGBE it included automatically selected PHYLIB support. But MVGBE does not need PHYLIB it will build fine without it. Commit ed52ea507f12 ("net: add Kconfig for MVGBE") should have been a no-op in terms of build size but because of the selecting PHYLIB the openrd configs increased in size. Remove the automatic selection of PHYLIB, boards that need it will have already enabled it in their config header file. 2018-04-13net: fec: sharing MDIO for two enet controllersPeng Fan
On i.MX6SX, 6UL and 7D, there are two enet controllers each has a MDIO port. But Some boards share one MDIO port for the two enets. So introduce a configuration CONFIG_FEC_MXC_MDIO_BASE to indicate the MDIO port for sharing. In Kconfig, user needs enable CONFIG_FEC_MXC_SHARE_MDIO first to enter the CONFIG_FEC_MXC_MDIO_BASE. 2016-11-07net: add driver for Synopsys Ethernet QoS deviceStephen Warren
This driver supports the Synopsys Designware Ethernet QoS (Quality of Service) a/k/a eqos IP block, which is a different design than the HW supported by the existing designware.c driver. The IP supports many options for bus type, clocking/reset structure, and feature list. This driver currently supports the specific configuration used in NVIDIA's Tegra186 chip, but should be extensible to other combinations quite easily, as explained in the source. This patch introduces CONFIG_RTL8211X_PHY_FORCE_MASTER. If this define is set, RTL8211x PHYs (except for the RTL8211F) will have their 1000BASE-T master/slave autonegotiation disabled and forced to master mode. This is helpful for PHYs like the RTL8211C which produce unstable links in slave mode. Such problems have been found on the A20-Olimex-SOM-EVB and A20-OLinuXino-Lime2. There is no proper way to identify affected PHYs in software as the RTL8211C shares its UID with the RTL8211B. Thus, this fix requires the introduction of an #ifdef.
